Mustang Middle & High School School Students Place in Youth Rowing League Regatta

(Mustang, Oklahoma – November 14, 2019) – On Saturday, November 9, 2019 several Mustang students in middle school and high school participated in the Youth Rowing League Fall Regatta on the Oklahoma River.  Student teams raced 500-meter sprints on the Oklahoma River as part of the The fall 2019 OKC RIVERSPORT Youth League Championships.  When the waves calmed, the High School Team was awarded the prestigious SandRidge Cup, while the middle school team placed third overall.  rowing team on the water

“This is not an officially school sponsored activity,” explained Julie Muse from Mustang Valley, “but it involves Mustang students.  This is the 3rd year we've had Mustang students involved in the Youth Rowing League which is part of the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation.  Our kids have worked so hard, and I am so very proud of them!”
